OAI-PMH
The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a protocol that defines the metadata collection mechanism, thus ensuring an important property of digital repositories – interoperability. OAI-PMH includes two types of participants:
- data providers that expose metadata about the content they contain,
- service providers who collect metadata and build a new service on it.
Since 2006, Hrčak has implemented the OAI-PMH interface .
