How do authors participate in the introduction of ORCID identifiers in Hrčak?
Authors receive an e-mail from Hrček that guides them through the process of connecting the work in Hrček with their ORCID profile. In this procedure, the author logs into his ORCID profile, and the ORCID register automatically delivers the author’s ORCID identifier (authenticated entry) to Hrčko.
During the procedure, the author is offered the option of entering the e-mail address of the co-author for those co-authors whose e-mail addresses were not entered by the editors during the storage of the work in Hrčak.
For which works will authors receive an invitation to connect to an ORCID profile?
For all works with a valid e-mail address of the author, regardless of when they were entered in Hrčak. The editorial office of the magazine can also enter the e-mail address of the author for old works.
What if the author is not offered to link all works with the ORCID profile?
If the author has not been offered all works to connect to his ORCID profile, it is possible that the e-mail address was not entered with the work or the e-mail address entered is invalid.

A valid e-mail address of the author is required to connect the work in Hrčka and the ORCID profile. To enter and update the e-mail address listed with the work, the author must contact the editorial office of the journal .
What changes for magazine editors with the introduction of ORCID identifiers in Hrčak?
Editorial offices do not collect or enter ORCID identifiers of authors in Hrčak, but they must enter a valid e-mail address of at least one author of the work , preferably all. Important: do not enter the editor’s e-mail address in the author’s e-mail field. Hrčak uses the entered e-mail addresses to automatically contact the authors and ask them for the authenticated delivery of the ORCID identifier. Editorial offices should recommend authors to have an ORCID identifier and recommend entering the identifier in Hrčak after publication of the work.
